Da Kinderbommer!!!!!

Apologies for the lack of posts I've been laid up with a cold so not been able to get anything done. I thought I'd just overload on photo's this week to make up for it with the subject being one of my favourite looted vehicles, Da Kinderbommer:

Roll out da barrels

Not much to report on Gorkamorka wise this week. I'm going to my 1st ever tournament in June so I've been working on my Dark Angels, I did find time to make some scrap counters though.
A few months back I bought some barrels to use as scenery in Bolt Action, but they were a bit too big for that scale so they've been sat on the sprue. I'd been thinking about what to use as scrap markers because I wanted something a bit different from the classic "base full of junk" and I thought about using these barrels. The idea being Banez and da boyz are stashing barrels of explosives to bring about "Mektowns Rekkonin", the time when Mektown would be brought to it's knees to live in the darkness. Anyway, this is what I did

I can't wait to see Batmek zipping round with one of these on the back of his bike!

Due to the lack of pictures I'm gonna do another post tomorrow about my Deathwing land raider redeemer as it's the centrepiece of my DA army, I'll try and put more DA stuff in when I can (or if I have nothing else to put on)

Da Boyz

With the vehicles finished it was time to start work on Da Boyz. First up we have Banez, heres a shot of him pre-paint:

Da Tumbla

So I had Batmek and I needed to work out what to spend the rest of my teef on. I tried a few lists but the one I finally settled on was this:

Banez - Nob (Flack armour, Slugga, Choppa)
Batmek - Spanner (Bike, 2 x Kannon, Choppa. Frags)
Morkan Freeork - Spanner, driver
Da Tumbla - Trukk with skorcha
Alf - Yoof, gunner
Jokez - Boy (6 shoota, choppa)
Dentz - Boy (Slugga, Choppa)
Robz - Yoof (Blunderbuss)

I liked the amount of models in the list, I just needed a trukk big enough to carry  the crew. It had to be modled after "The Tumbler" to keep in the theme, but I wanted to make the gang using spares from my bitz box. After a rummage I found an old Gorkamorka trukk fully intact, this was to be the shell.

I took all the wheels off and used the back wheels on the bike, as they're slightly bigger than normal bike wheels, I then built holders for the wheels on the truck using sprue, and took the wheels off some space marine bikes. After a few more bits stuck to It It looked like this:

Before I even planned a list I knew I had to have the Batpod (Batman's bike). At first I was gonna go Diggas as the points were cheaper so I could get more men for my teef. I started work on the bike but something didn't feel right.
